On a personal island in the Bahamas, a bar looks like they were created for Instagram.
The Heads Up Bar on Disney’s Castaway Cay Island provides a gorgeous backdrop for your cocktail. From coconut cups to vessels that resemble Olaf and Sven, the liquids are as pretty as they may be delicious.
“You can get unforgettable images here,” Miro Popovic, assistant beverage service manager for Disney Cruise Line, told Good Morning America.
His favorite drink is a Pelican Mule, a twist on the Moscow Mule made with Vodka, Ciroc, pineapple juice, and ginger beer.
“Heads Up Bar is considered one of my favorite spots. It’s a lovely spot, and in history, our Disney delivers. This is the most lovely view on the island and a peaceful spot,” he said.
Disney Cruise Line confirmed to “GMA” how many of the most popular drinks are made. One of the most requested is the Conch Cooler, a twist on a pina colada made with dark and light rum, orange juice, and passion fruit.
The Let it Go served in an Olaf cup, is made with strawberry, mango, and orange juice for a non-alcoholic option. Popovic stated that no matter all of the fruit, “it’s no longer too sweet — the strawberries give it some acidity.”
Drinks at the Heads Up bar are an additional fee, but there is a free BBQ lunch buffet and tender drinks for all visitors.
Every Disney delivers sailing within the Bahamas calls on Castaway Cay. Sailings range between three and 7 nights.
